Games are played on grass or artificial turf. In this sport the shin guards and a mouthguard provide little safety and headgear like they wear in La Cross would make many parents rest more easy.
In field hockey each player carries a hockey stick. Traditionally the sticks are made of wood, but now carbon fibre sticks are also used. Using their sticks, players pass the hockey ball to each other driving it at the same time towards the rival team’s goal.
Field Hockey which developed in 19th century England is an aggressive exciting game and good sportsmanship is expected on the field at all times.
